Description
All blankets are made to order and machine sewn to ensure durability.
Blankets are available with two different fillings:
o Glass granules – perfect for light sleepers as it resembles the sound of the sand. This is a better option for heavier blankets as it removes the volume making it easier to store or when travelling.
o Natural gravel – perfect for those who are environmentally conscious and who like a bit of an earthy sound. Bumpy texture is beneficial for sensory seekers.
Despite every effort to provide accurate images of each product’s colour and design, actual colours and design may vary slightly, due to different device screen settings or the lighting in the installation location.
Size
It is an individual choice and decision however there are few aspects you should consider. If you plan to sleep under the blanket (strongly recommended) then pick the size comfortable for sleeping and similar to the size of your duvet. Make sure the blanket is not bigger than your mattress to avoid constant correction.
Weight
The general rule is 10% of the body weight. If the blanket is smaller or bigger than the shape of your body then you need to add or remove the weight to keep the right ratio. However, it is a very individual decision based on many factors like age, height, weight and condition/reason for purchase.
Weighted Blankets have long been proven to help ease anxiety and promote better sleep. The blanket provides a soft even pressure to the body. They are sized to the body. The blankets generally help a child to keep their body still during the night and reduce stress hormones. Some studies have shown that the deep pressure touch, offered by the blanket, helps provide feelings of safety, comfort and relaxation. Weighted blankets also have potential to support with insomnia, chronic pain or restless leg syndrome.
